We make money when people play, which is exactly why this page is blunt. Play with money losing would not hurt. If that has stopped being true, the numbers below are free and confidential.
If it has stopped being a game, stop here
Free, confidential, 24 hours a day. You do not have to give your name.
This is not us. It is an independent service with nothing to gain from what you decide.
1Where we stand
We make money when people play. That is exactly why this page needs to be blunt rather than decorative.
Gambling is entertainment you pay for, like a night out. Sometimes you come home up. Most of the time you do not. A player who can afford it and enjoys it is someone we want here for years. A player chasing money they have already lost is someone we would rather stop serving than take another deposit from.
2The one rule worth more than the rest
Only ever play with money that, if it vanished this evening, would change nothing about your week.
Not the rent. Not the food money. Not borrowed money, and not money somebody is expecting back. If a deposit would make you anxious, that is the answer — you already know.
3Honest signs it has turned
None of these make you a bad person. They are just facts worth noticing early, while it is still easy.
- Depositing again to win back what you lost
- Playing longer than you meant to, most times
- Hiding how much you play, or lying about it
- Borrowing, or selling things, to keep playing
- Missing work, sleep, or people who matter
- Feeling you must play, rather than wanting to
- Restless or short-tempered when you try to stop
- Relief only when playing, guilt afterwards
Two or three of these and it is worth a pause. More than that, please use the numbers at the top of this page.
4Things we will do if you ask
No forms, no explaining yourself. Say it on chat and it is done.
| Ask for | What happens |
|---|---|
| A deposit limit | We refuse anything above it, daily or weekly, whichever you choose |
| A cooling-off period | Your account is paused for as long as you name. We will not message you during it |
| No more promotions | You stop receiving offers from us, permanently if you like |
| Self-exclusion | Account closed, balance paid out, and we will not reopen it |
| Account closed for good | Same, and your data removed |
Limits and exclusions are easy to put on and deliberately not easy to take off. Lifting one means waiting out the period you chose and asking again — no agent can shorten it for you, and asking twice will not change the answer. That is the point of it.
5Things you can do without us
- Decide your limit before you open the site, not while you are on it
- Set an alarm for when you will stop, and stop when it goes
- Never deposit to win something back — that is the moment to close the tab
- Keep a note of what you actually put in over a month; people are wrong about this by a wide margin
- Do not play tired, drunk, or after bad news
- Use blocking software — Gamban, GamBlock and BetBlocker cover this site too
6Things that are simply not true
You are not. Each round is independent. A hundred losses do not make the next one likelier.
It has no memory of the last player and no idea who you are.
The maths is fixed before you sit down. No pattern of bets changes it.
This one costs more people more money than the other three together.
7Under 21s
21 and over. No exceptions, and not a formality — we close accounts we find, and pay back what is in them.
If you share a device with someone younger, please use the parental controls built into it, and do not save your password in the browser.
8If you are worried about someone else
The helpline at the top takes calls from family too, and they are used to it. You do not need the person’s permission to ask for advice.
If you know their account here, tell us and we will apply a self-exclusion. We will not tell them who asked.
Anything here you would like explained in plain words, ask us on chat. A person answers.
